PIMS Site Director & Professor of Mathematics, University of British Columbia

Dr. Marcus is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of British Columbia and the PIMS Site Director for UBC. His research interests include Coding and Information Theory, Symbolic Dynamics, Ergodic Theory and Dynamical Systems.

Dr. Marcus currently serves on the PIMS Digital Collaboration Committee and has previously served in many capacities at PIMS, including as Deputy Director.
