PIMS Final Report
Final Reports
Organizers of activities supported by PIMS through the Scientific Review Panel or the discretionary awards program (including seminars) are required to submit a final report within one month of the activity's conclusion. The information collected through these reports helps PIMS report to its funding agencies and supports the ongoing development and evaluation of PIMS programs.
Submitting a final report is an important responsibility of event organizers, and we appreciate your cooperation. Failure to submit a final report may affect future funding decisions.
How to Submit a Final Report
The final report consists of a short online form.
To submit your report, visit the final report submission page (login required) and select your event from the dropdown menu at the top of the page.
By default, responsibility for completing the final report is assigned to the individual who submitted the original proposal. Only that person will see the event listed in the dropdown menu.
If another organizer will be completing the report, they should first sign in to their PIMS account (or create one if necessary) and then contact final-report@pims.math.ca to have responsibility transferred to their account.
Information Required
The report form will ask for general information about the activity, including:
- Activity start and end dates
- Location(s) of event activities
- Names and affiliations of organizers
- Names and affiliations of speakers
- Scientific highlights and outcomes of the activity
- Other sources of funding
- Total number of participants
Participant Demographics
You will be asked to provide the total number of participants, along with estimated percentage breakdowns in the following categories:
- Professional status
- Academic level
- Subject area
- Geographic distribution (countries and provinces)
